Christmas Cards 2011
I finally got my Christmas cards finished and in the mail last night, a few minutes before the last pickup. I wasn’t procrastinating…I just couldn’t come up with a great design. Until I tried these clear plastic sheets in my Silhouette (see my previous post). I modified a snowflake background design to fit my card front. That was just what I needed to make my card happy!
I did cut down my Christmas card list quite a bit this year, but even 18 of these clear card fronts took ages to punch out once I cut them with my Cameo! But I think in the end it was worth it. The tree started out plain but I used some swirl shapes to make cutouts from the tree using Silhouette Studio’s modify functions.
The cards may have been finished at the last minute, but I’m happy with the results.
Merry Christmas, everyone!

Fabulous cards Kelly! Looking forward to the new year and all your wonderful projects and inspiration!
sooo cute and original!! I love your ideas, Kelly!
Thanks, Shawna and Tawna! So glad you like my ideas 'cause I've got more coming. My next major project is going to be a Valentine's Day mobile.
They are beautiful, Kelly! I'd love to try some acetate, too, one of these days. So many ideas, so little time.
I think that's my motto, Barbara. 😉
I was grateful to be one of the recipients of your card. It's going to look great in my scrapbook!
Boy, those are nice.
These cards look even better in person. They really turned out beautifully, Kelly.
