Thanks a Bunch! Card Set

Here it is, the second set of cards I promised during the “Love My Cameo” blog hop. This is actually where I started, with these beautiful flower sketch designs from Barb Derksen. I made my own designs for the blog hop to match the Valentine’s theme, but I just absolutely love these sketch flowers. Pop on over to Barb’s blog, The Life of Mrs. Miles, to grab these sketch flowers and tell her I sent you! She made her own beautiful set of cards for inspiration with these flowers, and has lots of other Silhouette freebies.  (And make sure to tell her thanks.)

If you missed the free box file and scalloped rectangle I made, you can go back to this post for the link to download them.

This time I used a blue box base to go with the papers from My Mind’s Eye “Lime Twist” papers. I used my Chomas Creations adjustable sketch pen holder and Chomas Creations mini gel pen (metallic black) to sketch out the flowers, then colored them in with Letraset ProMarkers. The markers didn’t smear the ink at all. The smaller flowers use the Silhouette glitter blue sketch pen and the Chomas Creations pink glitter and dark red metallic gel pens.

I added flat sticker rhinestones to the centers of the small flowers and heat-activated generic rhinestones for the larger flower centers.

The “Thanks a bunch” sentiment is cut from Silhouette’s adhesive backed cardstock. Once I got the settings right (my blade is getting a little dull so I had to cut at blade 3/pink, speed 3, thickness 28), it cut beautifully. So nice not to have to apply adhesive to those tiny letters!

Now this set is ready to give away or keep for my own cards. Three say “Thanks a bunch!” and three just have flowers, so I can use those for any occasion if I want.
