Teacher Appreciation Cards
This week is Teacher Appreciation week, so I made a simple card for each of my kids’ teachers. I made the cards, then let my kids decorate the insides.
I used a Gelly Roll Stardust gel pen in my Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder for the Silhouette to write the teacher’s name with the font “Jenna Sue”. I used my freehand drawing tool in Studio to draw a squiggly line, then adjusted the curves with point editing to get it just the way I wanted. Then, I just changed my line style to a perforated line and it made a cute little flying trail! The butterfly is cut directly out of the card base and backed with red polka-dot paper.
Look at the shimmer of the ink! That’s the best part of using sketch pens. You can’t duplicate that with a printer.
For the card’s inside, I cut out the letters for the word “teacher” so the kids could use them to describe their teachers. (That was their idea.) And the paper I used to back the butterfly on the front left a nice little area for a note or a drawing.
I hope their teachers enjoyed these cards!

So thoughtful and charming. I know I would love a card like this at the end of a year. 🙂

Kelly, that is the cutest teacher's card I've seen. This will be a keeper for her.
Oooh way too cute! Love that idea for a butterfly swish!
