Big Change for Me

I have a big change coming up in my life that may affect my blog a little.  In a couple of weeks I’ll be starting a part-time job in an accounting firm, which is where my educational background is.  I’ve got mixed feelings about this, because I really wanted to expand my crafty pursuits, teach more online classes, and maybe join more design teams.  But the income for our family will be nice, and it’s something I can do while the older kids are at school and while my husband can be home with our youngest.

In order to find the time for this job, I’ll be stepping down as a moderator on the Silhouette Plus forum and will not teach nearly as many classes at my local scrapbook store.  There will be an adjustment period, and then I can see what I really have time for in a few months.  My family comes first, so I need to make sure their needs are being met before I spend my time on my own interests.

More online Silhouette classes may or may not be coming, but I still want to teach some basic lessons because I feel there’s still a need for it out there.  If all goes well, I may even just put free basic lessons on my blog, and supplement that with a short online Q&A session once in a while.  Often my ambitions are bigger than reality, so we’ll just have to see how that goes.

I want to continue to post regularly on my blog; I can’t see myself staying away from making things.  I will also continue on Heartland Paper‘s design team, so that will guarantee I still have some interesting projects to post on a regular basis.

I don’t want to lose the momentum I’ve built up with my blog, so I hope you’ll continue to visit and Pin any of my projects that inspire you.  Don’t forget you can sign up to receive an email whenever I make a new post, and I have a search box to look for key words on my blog.  I also try to keep my blog labels very simple so you can find all posts related to certain frequent topics.

This is not goodbye, but if you see a little less of me over the next few months, now you’ll know why.  Thank you all for your support and for the tremendous lift you’ve given me in your frequent visits and comments about what I have done over the past 2+ years.

I guess my blog title of “Finding Time To Create” will once again be a very appropriate name.
