Necklace Pocket

My youngest daughter has a BFF (“best friend forever”) in her gradeschool class, and when she found out she was invited to her birthday party, she insisted that I get them matching BFF necklaces. We have a Children’s Place store nearby, so that was an easy gift to find.

Then I had my handy-dandy Silhouette Cameo cut out this altered envelope to hold the necklace for gift-giving.  I opened a simple envelope file in Silhouette Studio, used my knife tool to cut off the top flap, then used my knife tool again to cut two diagonal slits to hold the necklace chain.  I assembled the rest of the envelope as normal so the remainder of the chain could sit in the little pocket.

We wrapped this up in wrapping paper, and my daughter wore her matching necklace to the party so she could show it off once her BFF opened her gift.
