Baby Girl Card
My friend just had a sweet baby girl last week so I made her this card. There are several baby carriage shapes in the Silhouette online store, but this one just called my name. Even better, it was a great shape to use as a cutout. By using the negative space on this card, I’ve got the positive cutouts saved for a future card. 🙂
I used a scrap of textured taupe cardstock and some My Mind’s Eye pink pattern paper to give me a pink/brown color combination. Then I cut some little charms with my Cameo. The tag is from the Silhouette store 4 Tag Set, and I filled it with a purchased pattern called Autumn Paper Damask by Digital Pink Ink.
The font I used for the A (for baby’s initial) is LHF Cosmic Cursive, and the heart is just
another copy of the one in this baby carriage cutting file. To turn the initial and the heart into charms, I created a little ring in Silhouette Studio and then welded one to each shape (don’t forget to make the ring a compound path before welding).
I cut another heart in the same shape from Silhouette double-sided adhesive, stuck it to the heart, and covered it with dark pink flocking. Gotta have something soft & fuzzy on a baby card, right?
Once I had all the pieces cut, I added some foam adhesive to the back of the pink carriage-cutout section to pop it off the brown base. I made some little loops from twine and strung them onto another piece of twine for my paper tags and charms.

So sweet. I love the little charms hanging.
Love your card Kelly. I used Lori Whitlock BabyGirl Onesie Laundry card kit for my sister in law's shower and everyone loved it. But I do like your idea too of reusing the other cuts.
This is just darling, and I absolutely LOVE the whole idea of paper charms charms!
