Polar Express Hat

It’s fun to have crafty skills to help others with their projects. My brother-in-law Jeremy Telford (a.k.a. The Balloon Guy) is playing the conductor during a “Polar Express” neighborhood Christmas party. He asked if I could make him a decal for a conductor hat, made to look like the hat in the movie “The Polar Express.”

Silhouette Cameo and Silhouette printable gold foil (affiliate link) to the rescue! I used the screen shot he provided from the movie and used the Silhouette Studio drawing tools, offsets, welding, text-to-path, point editing, knife, and some other modifying tools to create this Polar Express conductor design.

Since the foil is self-adhesive, I just cut it out and popped it in the mail so he could stick it on the hat he ordered. I didn’t see the finished Polar Express hat in person, so my sister Kimber Hodson took these pictures.  (She’s a much better photographer anyway.)  Family group effort. 😉

This post contains affiliate links. It won’t change your price, but it helps you by getting exactly the product I used, and it helps me by giving me a little kickback to help support this blog. Win-win. 🙂
