Valentine Collection Boxes
Both of my girls needed collection boxes for their school Valentine’s Day parties, so I grabbed my Silhouette Cameo and whipped these up.
“What does the fox say?” is cut in black vinyl with LD Carefree font. (This phrase is the name of a silly song that’s very popular at the grade school right now; the kids in my daughter’s class will get a big kick out of this.)
The fox is a Silhouette file: cute fox by Studio Ilustrado.
Print & cut word balloon with Learning Curve font and word bubble collection by Sophie Gallo.
This owl is from a Silhouette cut file: 4 owl set by Lori Whitlock.
“Whooo loves you?” is from another owl cut file: heart owls by Kolette Hall. (It’s fun to mix and match pieces using bits from one cut file for another design. I actually used the eyelashes from the 4 owl set to make the fox above more girly.)
To prepare the boxes, I wrapped a couple of boxes I had on hand in plain kraft wrapping paper. Then I cut out the pieces for these adorable critters with scraps of cardstock and Silhouette adhesive cardstock, then assembled them. My girls picked the shapes and the colors. They’ve already named their owl and fox, and I’m pretty sure they’ll be carrying around their new paper pets long after the candy boxes are empty. 🙂
Are you ready for Valentine’s Day?
OOhhhh, Kelly, I absolutely love you Valentine Boxes and I just know you girls do also! Hugs, Patty
Since I'm very partial to owls, that box really appeals to me. Happy Valentines Day to you too.
O my super cute. I love both of them and I am sure the kids will love them too. You done and awesome job Kelly. I love both the fox and the owl. And the song makes no sense to me at all but I know everyone sings it. LOL. Happy Valentines Day. Good job. TFS
