I feel like Curio may be the most under-utilized Silhouette machine out there. While I’m the first to admit I love my CAMEO the most, I have also spent a lot of quality time with my Curio machine. I’ve made five videos to cover the software features every Silhouette Curio user needs to know in order to stipple, emboss, and etch.
Curio has some really cool features the CAMEO and Portrait can’t achieve, but there is definitely a learning curve. Many of my classes at the past several All Things Silhouette Conferences have been Curio classes, in an effort to get users past the initial hurdles of how to use the machine’s most basic features and software.
Once you know the basics, this little machine can do amazing things! These videos will cover how to use the v4 Silhouette Studio® software for every key Curio feature, including:
- How to Use the Stipple Feature in Silhouette Studio (Curio and CAMEO 3)
- Stipple Trace (Curio and CAMEO 3)
- How to Use the Emboss Panel (Curio)
- Score & Emboss (Curio)
- Print & Emboss (Curio)

How to Use the Emboss Panel (Curio)
Score & Emboss (Curio)

I realize these are software videos, and Curio has some different hardware and functionality than the CAMEO and Portrait machines. Don’t worry! I’ve got you covered there, too.
Please see this detailed tutorial on Getting Started With Silhouette Curio to learn about the ins and outs (literally) of the machine itself.
