Silhouette Sketch Pen Class
Here’s a new free Silhouette 101 class I created for you! This Silhouette Sketch Pen Class is one of ten foundational classes covering all the basic mediums and tools you are likely to use with your Silhouette cutting machine.
What You’ll Learn
- Find sketch designs in the Design Store
- Sketch and then cut using Cut by Line Color in the Send Tab
- Use Silhouette-brand sketch pens
- Use other pens in the adjustable pen holder
- Sketch in multiple colors
- Convert a photograph into a sketch design
Cameo 4 Disclaimer
Please note this was filmed with the Silhouette Cameo 3, before the Cameo 4 was released. Because the Cameo 4 can only use sketch pens in the left tool holder, please follow the instructions when I talk about using only one tool holder (like for the Portrait or Cameo 1 or 2).

- For the adjustable pen holder in Silhouette machine models other than the Cameo 4, use this pen holder.
- For the adjustable pen holder in the Cameo 4, use this pen holder.
- Buy the Ultimate Sketch Pen Set here. This updated set includes all the Silhouette sketch pen colors and a set of 10 exclusive sketch designs. This new black body style fits in all Cameo, Portrait, and Curio models. (Requires an adapter for the Cameo 4, which is the blue adapter that comes with the machine.)
- Here’s a link to my favorite white Uni-Ball Signo pen to use in the adjustable pen holder.
- These dark Gelly Roll metallics are awesome, too. I used the bronze color to sketch my son in the final project of the class.
