Butterfly Frame
I made this frame to hang in my girls’ room. The 8×10 frame was only $3 and I designed the background with embedded butterflies using pretty much the same techniques as in my monogram tutorial. I really like this look, and I love to touch the fuzzy vinyl!
The shapes from Silhouette I used are “circle_border_open_1226” and “butterfly_1510.” I’ve used this butterfly quite a few times; I think it comes with the software as one of the basic shapes. I didn’t want to throw away the perfect butterflies that come out during the weeding so I put them on the outside of my scanner. I would have put them on my laptop, but my husband uses it as much as I do and I didn’t think he’d want to carry around a laptop with butterflies on it. 🙂
I hope this inspires you to try something like this!
Gorgeous.
This is beautiful. Love all the projects you do with your Silhouette. It is inspiring me to use it more. I want to try and learn how to do the cut and print so thanks for the help.
Beautiful project and so very effective.
