Welcome Sign
The Paper Cabana Challenge #3 asked us to look to Bright Wish Kanzashi Studio for inspiration on our project. Of course, seeing all those flowers made me want to create yet another flower project. I think the reds and oranges stood out to me, as well, to make me choose these colors. The papers for the flower layers are from four random scraps in my color-divided stash.
The SVG files I used are from the new My Digital Studio 2 Flower punch set. It’s nice that the files are in SVG form now so I can cut many of them with my Cameo in Studio DE. I cut out several layers, inked the edges with brown, spritzed them with water, crumpled them, let them dry, then stuck them together with a cute brad. Can’t get much simpler. The very back layer is another flower layer cut from green instead of coral to look like leaves.
I put the red polka-dot paper on chipboard, added the sentiment cut with French Script MT in green cardstock, and added a little green designer tape by Bella Blvd with some more little green flowers cut from the Flower Flourish file in the Silhouette store.
Thanks for visiting, and go check out The Paper Cabana to play along this week!

Hi Kelly,
What a terrific idea! Your work is always so lovely.
My in-laws went home today (happy/sad here, BEST visit ever) and so perhaps me you and Debbie can do our collab? I'm thinking we set a publish date of NEXT Monday (Sept 30th) so make up our cuts in the next day or two and send to each other? What do you think? I sure missed everyone.
Blessings,
Barb
