Fall Challenge
It finally feels like fall around here, complete with cooler rainy weather and fall colors starting to pop out on the trees. I love it! This is also my favorite season to decorate in my house. I was so excited to do this project I’ve been thinking about for a long time, and this week’s Paper Cabana Challenge gave me the perfect excuse to finally do it.
I bought this 3D Letter SVG Kit from SVG Cuts quite a while ago, and this is the first time I’ve tried it. I love SVG Cuts 3D cutting files because they are so well made. These remind me of wooden letters, but they are all paper and therefore less expensive. (Be sure to watch the video tutorial for assembling these letters if you purchase them, because it gives some very good tips.)
I resized all the letters to 90% of their original size, which makes them just under 6 inches tall. That way I could use a single piece of 12×12″ cardstock for each letter base. The letter A took up the most space on the page, so that’s what directed my resizing. I used Bazzill Smoothies cardstock, which is nice and heavy. The face of each is cut from pattern paper; these are all from the “Little Miss” collection from Bo Bunny.
Here are some close-up shots, because you know I can’t limit my posts to a single picture!
I hope this project inspires you to play along at The Paper Cabana for this week’s challenge. Fall projects are so fun! (And did you know you can win prizes?!) Go join in!

Thank you, Corinne! I love your adorable owl card on the Paper Cabana challenge!
Those letters are wonderful. Love the paper and the way you embellished them.
I LOVE your project, Kelly. I love everything you do, though, of course! I have bought all the letters in the family's names, but you've made me have cravings for new letters! Yes, I have more Letter Lust now! LOL! The little accoutrements you added to them are just darling.
You make me laugh, Barbara! Letter Lust. Ha ha!
Kelly this is gorgeous, we arn't seeing fall yet, little snippets here and there, but I want the full on rush of it all, lol, hugs
Hello Kelly! I am your newest follower. I found you through a mutual blogger. She highlighted some really pretty cards you had made. I thought it so kind of her.
It is so nice to find crafty bloggers. It amazes me just how many of us are out here in blogland.
I will be browsing through to see more of your lovely works of art.
Your FALL project turned out great!
Hope you can follow my blog too.
Crafty best wishes,

Thank you, Sonia. I enjoyed looking through your blog last night. ๐
Love this! I think I need the whole alphabet so I can do fun things for any word (or initial), any time! So much less expensive than wooden 3-D letters, and much lighter to store. And if a letter gets dinged, bent, or stepped on? Make a new one! Oh, how I love the Cameo. ๐
My thoughts exactly, Carol! ๐
thanks for the link to the letter kit. it is wonderful and i will definitely be using it – and soon.
always find your blog inspirational and VERY useful ๐
Thank you, Margo!
