Hexagon Card
I created this card with the hexagons back in May but never got around to sharing it until now. Today I turned it into a sympathy card, and below is what I did with it for Mother’s Day. On the upper card I placed a strip of pretty pattern paper behind the cutouts. On the lower card I cut out hexagons in the same size from a few different coordinating papers and inserted each one into an individual hexagon hole. Which do you like better?
I like the first one better. It looks more clean. I really like it!

They are both beautiful, but the added punch of brighter color in the first one appeals to me. Now you have me thinking how pretty fall leaf cutouts would be, too. Falling, tumbling leaves would make a lovely card, too. And that's what my two gigantic sycamore trees are doing, which means it is time to tell Hubs to get out the rake.
That does sound appealing (the leaf card, not the raking)!
Would love to know what die/punch you used for the hex shapes – I can't find anything that small!
I drew this hexagon shape in Silhouette Studio and had my Silhouette Cameo machine cut it out for me. I love being able to create and resize shapes to any size I want! My punches are all gathering dust. 🙂
