What do you do with…
What do you do with 2 inches left on a roll of fuzzy black vinyl? Make silly mustaches for your kids, of course! I took the free shape from Silhouette offered this summer around Father’s Day, altered copies with point editing to create different styles of mustaches, and cut them out with my Cameo. The kids were so excited to wear these, and it was a great way to get them all to smile at once!

I’m hosting the December Challenge over at the Silhouette Plus forum, and my challenge is for members to use any free Silhouette shape they have offered now or in the past and use it in a project. The shapes can be manipulated or any part of them used, but something in the final project has to use a free shape.
I didn’t plan it this way, but Silhouette is offering a different free Christmas shape every day through the 24th of December in their Countdown to Christmas event. That’s even better than their usual free weekly shape that changes every Tuesday! You can get the free shapes from your Online Store button in Silhouette Studio.
If you use a Silhouette machine (original, SD, or Cameo), or are considering purchasing one (maybe it’s on your list to Santa?) you should check out the Silhouette Plus forum. It’s such a great group, and there’s so much help and ideas for Silhouette users. Just don’t forget to visit me here on my blog, as well!
Happy Holidays!

What a precious picture. I love it and a great way to use that scrap of fuzzy vinyl!
AWWWWW! This is a super cute idea Kelly!
Love it! Amazing photo and all your children sat still, something I never could get ours to do.
Merry Christmas, Hugs, Lori m
Shhh! Don't tell, but I swapped one head here with my Photoshop skills! I don't worry about them all sitting still and smiling at once any more. I just take a lot of the same pose and hope I can borrow a head from another similar picture.
This is the cutest and your kids are adorable! I have to do this with my kids, love this idea!
Thanks, Shelly! My oldest son today wore some scrap black fuzzy vinyl for a beard as part of his costume for Abraham Lincoln today. This stuff comes in handy!
