Halloween Treat Bottle
It’s getting to be that time of year again! I think fall and Halloween projects are some of my favorite. This is a vinyl project I’ll be teaching for my next Silhouette Silly class at Heartland Paper on September 20th. It will be from 7-8 p.m. and costs $14.
I’ll share all my tips for using vinyl as a glass-etching mask and as a decoration on top of the etched glass. All the materials, bottle, (even the candy!) and cutting files will be provided. A special thanks goes to Debbie, a.k.a. Doodling Debbie, at Paper Pulse for providing the fantastic halloween house file. Students will need to bring their laptop and Silhouette machine (any model) to practice cutting the vinyl, so those who have never played with vinyl before will really enjoy this!
See the fun etching?
And here’s a view from the back without the candy inside.
I hope any Silhouetters who live in the area can come! You can go in to Heartland Paper in Bountiful, Utah, or call them at 801-294-7166 to reserve your spot. Space is limited.
Please let me know in the comments if you’re interested in a vinyl class online if Heartland is too far away. It won’t be quite the same because I can’t provide the materials, but I can still show you how it’s done and answer questions. My kids go back to school in just a few more days so I can get those online classes going again. Yay!

That is so cute. Wish I lived closer so I could take the class. I'm sure that your students will have an absolute blast.
Too cute!! I'd love to watch an online with vinyl. I've avoided it simply because I have no clue where to start.
Thanks for letting me know, Tawna. I must warn you though…it's a little addicting. 🙂
I can't seem to locate the Halloween House file at Debbie's blog…any hints as to where it could be?
Debbie gave it to me to use for this vinyl class. You'll have to ask her directly for it if you want it. 🙂
this is so adorable, love the etching with the vinyl, hugs
Thanks so much, Sandi! I always appreciate your nice comments. 🙂
Hi Kelly –
This is amazing! I'll link up with you on Monday with Debbie's and my collab! If I lived close I'd be there for your class for sure.
Thanks for sharing, I'm getting a hankering to etch, just looking at your project.
Blessings, Barb
Thanks, Barb! Can't wait to see your collab post on Monday.
You have a darling project for your students, and as always, it is beautifully made.
I would love to see an online class!
Kelly I love this! I used to cut vinyl in my Cricuts but haven't tried yet with my Cameo. Thanks for the inspiration 😉
Vinyl class online would be great (if you truly feel you can't afford to fly on interested crafters to Bountiful!!).
Ha! Ha! Ha! Now that would be an expensive class!
I've adjusted the link above so when you click on the link to Paper Pulse you'll go directly to Debbie's post where she shares her haunted house file.
I'd love to participate in an on line class. If I lived near you I'd definitely attend. I too have been afraid to cut vinyl since I don't know where to start!
This looks great, Kelly. The bright colour of the sweets really shows of the silhouetted design.
Tine 🙂
Just completed my Halloween Bottle. This is such a cute Halloween Project. Thanks for such a fun class. Glad I was there! I believe this will be the first of many more vinyl crafts!
Oh, I'm glad you finished it, Diane! I'm happy you were there, too, and I can't wait to see what you do with your new vinyl knowledge. 🙂
I admire the valuable information you offer in your content articles. I will bookmark your weblog. I am quite certain I will learn lots of new stuff right here than anybody else!
You are doing the most appreciable work on Halloween projects. Keep it up the good work 🙂
