Christmas Card
(Originally posted on the Silhouette Blog 11/4/2013)

I make handmade Christmas cards every year to send to friends and relatives. My goal is always maximum impact for minimum assembly effort. (Never mind how many card versions I go through to find the perfect design!) I was so happy to use Hero Arts shapes and stamps, because I’ve always been a fan of their designs.
I chose the Line Bubble Tree shape by Hero Arts so I could add an extra pop of glitter in the holes as ornaments. The tree is cut from white Silhouette adhesive-backed cardstock. To get the circles for my glitter areas, I released the compound path on the tree shape and made copies of the circles to be cut from Silhouette double-sided adhesive.
I cut the circle shapes from the adhesive, placed them in the appropriate circles on my card front (yellow backing removed), then took off the white covering one or two at a time so I could use one color of glitter at a time while protecting the rest.

To add the finishing touches, I added Hero Arts silver Metallic Décor to the card front corners. The green page is mounted onto red glitter cardstock. I used Hero Arts stamps on the inside of the card for my sentiment.
