Adhesive Cardstock Colors

cardstock colors

I’ve said many times that I love the Silhouette adhesive-backed cardstock. I still have every color of the older 8.5 x 11″ variety packages (and use them happily), but I love the newer colors as well. These are 12 x 12″ sheets that have color all the way through, so no white shows on the cut edge like on the older sets. Except for the “Essentials” pack that has a mix of basic black, white, and two shades of grey, the current packs come in sets of 25 of the same color.

So how do you pick a color you will use a lot?  As part of the Silhouette design team I recently received some of every color except taupe, and I must say it’s hard to go wrong with any of these colors! They are beautiful! I’ve got to say, though, that my personal favorites are rose, leaf green, navy, cool grey, and of course black and white. (Can you tell I like cool tones more than warm tones?)  My personal collection of these colors grows every time Silhouette has a sale.  😉

These papers cut wonderfully with my CAMEO–even intricate designs.  And I love not having to apply glue when I don’t have to.

If you want to see the projects I’ve made that use adhesive cardstock, check out these posts.  If you’re trying to decide the best color to start with, I’d go with the Essentials pack or white or black.  If you have some of this adhesive cardstock, you’ll use it.  Trust me.  😉

Sorry if this sounds like a sales pitch.  But if you know me and my blog, you know I like to share my knowledge and opinions so I can help you with your crafting.  Hopefully the photo above will also give you a better feel for the different colors.
