Sketched Card Set – Free Class
Happy New Year, everyone! What goals have you set for your creativity or for your creative business in 2021? If you are not using your Silhouette machine to its full potential, I’m here to help. I’ve got a new class with Michael’s and Silhouette America where we’ll make this sketched card set.

It’s a free class through Michael’s National Online classes, and I’ll be filming once again at Silhouette Headquarters here in Utah.
Details:
January 15, 2021 at 11 a.m. MST (live) or watch the recording here.
Now is the perfect time to create a card set to have ready at a moment’s notice. Whether you’re new to paper crafts or are a long-time card maker, this class is for you! Learn to use sketch pens and accent with watercolor pencils to create an easy card set that looks hand-illustrated. Works with any Silhouette cutting machine; I will use the Silhouette Cameo 4 in class.
You will need:
- Silhouette Cameo® or Silhouette Portrait®
- Silhouette cutting mat
- Silhouette sketch pen (black body style for Cameo 4 or Portrait 3)
- Sketch pen adapter (for Cameo 4 or Portrait 3) — see image below
- Cardstock in 2 or more colors (8.5” x 11”)
- Paper trimmer
- Watercolor pencils
- Water brush or small paintbrush with water
- Adhesive rhinestones
- Craft cord or other thin twine
- Adhesive
- Foam adhesive
- Design ID #67187, #334152, #12912
Sketch Pens and Adapters:
As I said, you can use any Silhouette machine for this class. If you are using the Cameo 4 (standard, Plus, or Pro) or the Portrait 3, you’ll need the black body-style of sketch pen and the blue adapter that came with your machine.

Older Silhouette machine models can use either the black or white body style of sketch pens, and you don’t need any adapter.
Alternate = Adjustable Sketch Pen Holder:
If you don’t want to use Silhouette sketch pens, you can use most other pens (ball point, gel, glitter, metallic, etc.) in the adjustable pen holder. You’ll need the Type B pen holder (right) for the Cameo 4 or Portrait 3, or the Type A pen holder (left) for older Silhouette machine models. These are great for using with all kinds of fancy pens!

I hope you’ll join me and learn more about sketching with your Silhouette machine as we make this versatile sketched card set!
