Paper Flower Happenings
I just wanted to drop in to tell you about some exciting paper flower happenings with Lia Griffith! (Read to the end to find out my exciting surprise.)
In-Person Creative Summit
First, this is pretty far in advance, but the space is limited for Lia Griffith’s Creative Summit 2026 in Portland, Oregon. This is an in-person event September 25-27, 2026. I’ve gone the past two years, and it is amazing! There is nothing like being surrounded by like-minded people who love making paper flowers–in the presence of experts Lia and Meagan, who teach all the little details of making multiple flowers over the course of the weekend. I’ve made many new friends and love learning new techniques!
We are treated so well with yummy local Portland food, and there’s plenty of time to visit and get to know each other. It’s a very special group that runs the event (Lia Griffith and team). And it’s a very special group of women who attend. Plus, they usually have a little in-person shopping instead of waiting for your crepe paper supplies to arrive in the mail.
The Creative Summit event is limited to 22 attendees, which has sold out each year, so claim your spot early! I will say that having a weekend to myself (and fellow flower makers) where I’m practically guaranteed to finish multiple flowers is so worth it!

New Lia Griffith Crepe Paper Colors
Speaking of shopping, have you heard about the new Lia Griffith double-sided crepe paper colors? I was so excited to see these released that I bought multiple packs of Light Lilac/Lilac and Light Yellow/Yellow the day they were released! I want to make sure you don’t miss these! It’s been a while since Lia Griffith has released new colors. Up until now the only yellow option was in heavy crepe paper. Double-sided crepe paper cuts so nicely on Silhouette and Cricut machines that have a rotary blade!
Paper Flower Garden Book
Finally, Lia Griffith has just published a new book! Lia and Meagan’s techniques are constantly improving. They continue to produce more and more flower designs with tutorials every month, year after year. While I think the annual Lia Griffith membership gives you amazing access to a wealth of online content and downloadable designs, there’s just something about having a book in your hands as a reference.
