Uses for Silhouette Tattoo Paper

tattoo paper

I have one more post referring to the Silhouette tattoo paper I used on this candle.  The tattoo paper is best used with a full sheet for a print & cut because of the registration marks and the need to apply an adhesive layer on top of the printed layer.  (Both parts are included in the package.)

This leaves a lot of extra room around the main design to fill up with other designs.  So what did I do with it?  I made Christmas tattoos for the kids!  That is what it was originally designed for, after all.  Here’s what my page looked like when I was ready to print:

And guess what else I found out?  This tattoo paper makes great nail decals if you like to do fun designs on your nails (which I do).  I made a bunch of 0.27″ circles and filled them with mini snowflakes.

Once my nail base color was dry, I took off the clear backing from the cut-out snowflake, stuck the sticky side to my nail, added a little water to the paper backing with a cotton swab, waited the 15 seconds as suggested, and slid away the paper.  Perfect image of a snowflake on my nails! After another minute to make sure it was all dry, I applied a clear top coat to seal it in.  (Please ignore my dry winter skin.)

If I had known it would work so well, I would have filled up every little bit of spare space on this sheet of tattoo paper with other cute designs for my nails.  Just remember that the color white on your screen is actually clear to a printer, so it will only show the nail color underneath.
