Halloween Card #1

This is another card going to Heartland Paper for display. I used a Mojo Monday sketch for inspiration.

Here are the instructions for this card:

Materials:
Pattern paper: Haunted Hallows “Damask” and “Witch” by Teresa Collins
Orange cardstock for base
Black cardstock
Rhinestones by Teresa Collins
Ribbon, approx. 12”
Glitter glue
Black inkpad for inking paper edges
Adhesive: Double sided tape strips, large glue dots, liquid glue (Aleene’s Tacky Glue)

1. Cut orange cardstock to 8.5” x 5.5”, then fold in half for card base.
2. Cut “Damask” paper as follows: One piece 2 3/8” x 3 3/4”, one 5” x 3 3/4”, and one 3” x 3” square (flip over for print side to show). Ink the edges with black inkpad.
3. Cut black cardstock to 2 1/2” x 3 7/8” and adhere as mat to damask rectangle.
4. Cut Halloween-themed ribbon to about 12”.
5. Using “Witch” paper, cut out one witch oval. Embellish as desired (glitter glue, etc.).
6. Also cut two 11 1/2” x 1 3/8” strips from the “Witch” paper. Score the strips every 1/2” and fold accordion style. Glue the strip ends together to form a continuous circle. Flatten and press together in the center to form a rosette. Use 1” scrap cardstock circles or squares covered with glue to attach the rosettes in the center, front and back. Weigh down to keep formed while drying.
7. Adhere matted damask rectangle to right side of card front.
8. Adhere large damask rectangle to card back.
9. Adhere print square to center of card front (overlapping damask paper).
10. Place a long strip of double-sided tape across middle of card front from edge to edge, lengthwise. Starting from the left edge, place your ribbon along the tape and tuck a bit under every 3/4” to make folds all along the width of the card (it can be flat against the middle of the paper square because that will be covered). Use narrow strips of double-sided tape to keep the folds in place against the ribbon. Cut off any excess once you reach the right edge of the card.
11. Adhere dried rosette to center of card with large glue dot. Attach witch oval to center of rosette with large glue dot.
12. Place orange rhinestones in each corner of the card, with extras in the upper left corner.
