Halloween House
Sorry I haven’t posted anything lately. I’ve been getting to know my new Cameo machine. I love it so much and am having no troubles whatsoever with it. Here is my first big project I made with it:
This is a cutting file from the Peony Cottage set by SVGCuts.com. I fell in love with this shape this summer and bought it, thinking it would be fun to make a haunted house, or a Christmas house, or another season of house… So this is my haunted house version. Not too spooky, but I think it’s pretty.
The pattern papers are from Graphic45 Wizard of Oz collection. I also embossed many of the pieces with Cuttlebug folders for texture. The bats and cat are stamped with Teresa Collins Haunted Hallows stamp set, then run upside down through my little Xyron, and black flocking powder pressed on to the sticky side. I love how that turned out!
Inside the house I put a flameless battery-operated candle so the lights flicker inside. I only had a tall pillar candle of that type, so it’s laying on its side. This house is 7″ tall and about 7 1/2″ wide, which is the biggest I could make it on the Cameo’s 12×12 mat.
Happy Haunting!
Oh my goodness. Your haunted house is incredible. The roof looks great. Just plain fantastic. Please pat yourself on the back.
Oh my crafts! My heart is swooning over that cute little house! I LOVE all the details. It looks fantastic! I am excited to see what else you do with the Cameo. I just got mine two days ago! Wa-Hoo!

First "big" project. No kidding. That's awesome.
Hi! I followed you over from the SVGCuts.com forum. Love this haunted house! Looking forward to seeing your creations with the new Cameo. Awesome job! 🙂
Fantastic Kelly! Looks like you had a ton of fun!!
very cool
Simply awesome! I just purchased some files from them the other night and can't wait to try them! Thanks for sharing!
That is beautiful Kelly…Love that it's just spooky enough… I never got a chance to send anything in for the sil contest. Seems that life is cutting into my crafting time.
Thanks, everybody! I know what you mean about life cutting into crafting time, Marcy. This time of year especially is getting awfully busy in every direction, and then my little toddler has come down with croup to remind me that Mommy responsibilities don't care about crafting and other deadlines.
Your house is beautiful during daylight hours, but at night it has an eerie effect–love it. I'm getting my new Cameo very soon and can't wait.
It's gorgeous! I think you'll win the October challenge!
I submitted this to the Silhouette Blog contest, but didn't win. I'm sure there was some stiff competition.
Amazing, this looks like the real deal you made it come alive!! Hugs, Lori m 🙂
WOW! That's gorgeous & now I must buy that file too 🙂 I can't wait to see what you do next!!!
Absolutely stunning i love it
