Just for Fun

I wanted to try out this little purse file I had in my Silhouette Library, so I cut one in black and one in pink. I spread it diagonally across my 12×12″ mat to make it as big as possible, so there was a lot of area on the outside edges for other shapes–which I filled up with flowers and flourishes. What else?

These flowers are a 3D flower set from the Silhouette store, but I added a little more texture and dimension to them by spritzing and crumpling the centers, then using my McGill flower tool set to give a little curl to the outer two layers.

By the time I was done I had two pretty little purses with a flower for each top. I didn’t want to glue a flower on top which would impede the opening of the purse, so I grabbed some pink and black tulle and twisted a little wire around those and hot glued the flowers to the tulle. Then I just tucked the wire into the gap between the handles and it’s a perfect little party favor.

I don’t know what I’ll do with them, but I sure like to look at them! Nothing like a little hot pink and black to make things snazzy.

Finished size is approximately 4.5″x2.25″x4.5″

Silhouette shapes used:

3D 6-petal flower (ID #3901)
Bookend flourish (ID #14947)
Purse from 51 free Cameo 1 shapes
