Coloring…
I’ve always loved to color since I was little–with crayons, colored pencils, and chalk pastels–but recently I’m trying out markers. Since Christmas I’ve been collecting Letraset ProMarkers and Spectrum Noir markers. It’s taking me a while to get used to only choosing my colors for gradients instead of having control with the amount of pressure I use. I’m sure the more time I spend practicing the better I’ll get, just like with anything else, but these are the cards I’ve made this week.
I wasn’t keeping track of the colors, and it was a mix of ProMarkers and Spectrum Noir. And I wasn’t using the recommended ultra smooth cardstock. But it was just practice! So don’t tell any of the marker pro’s. 😉
But I do think these turned out nice enough to send. These cards are also going to the Card Care Connection for cancer victims. Go check out my Calling All Cardmakers! post if you missed it, and you can get the free fancy square shape I used in this bird card from that post as well.
And can you believe I only used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the fancy square shape? Everything else was straight trimmers, border punches, and corner rounders. By the way, all these stamped images are from Stampin’ Up! sets. It felt pretty good to stamp and color again.

Kelly these are so very pretty, you are getting a great handle on those markers, hugs
Beautiful coloring and wonderful cards. Glad you had fun stamping and coloring.
Kelly,
Your coloring looks beautiful!!! 🙂 Is that "ruff day" stamp by Stampin' Up!?
Thanks so much for sharing,

Yes, these are all Stampin' Up! stamps. I have so many and forget to use them. 🙁
Your cards look great. The coloring is wonderful. I have never tried coloring with markers….maybe someday. Always enjoy looking at your projects.

Thanks, Karen. It is fun to try different mediums, and I'm inspired by so many great marker-coloring crafters out there.
Wowee. Those are gorgeous. And that was just practice?
