Tool Cup
Have you seen these cute cups in the Silhouette online store? Designer Samantha Walker has recently put out quite a variety of these cups. Just search for “cup” under artist Samantha Walker in the Silhouette design store, and you should be able to see them.
I must confess that I am one of those crafters who cannot seem to keep my workspace(s) clean. I have a craft room, but my computer and CAMEO sit at a large desk in my bedroom, so most of my go-to tools migrate to sit right next to my CAMEO. Then they get buried.
When I saw these cups I quickly bought a cute one, then cut and assembled this cup in just a few minutes. The default size is fairly large, so I might make the next one a little smaller. (This one was cut at the default size and stands just shy of 5″ tall and 3.75″ across at the top opening.) I tossed some grain in the bottom to give it some weight and stability, and now I’ve got this pretty but functional tool cup sitting next to my CAMEO. And I know where all my favorite tools are!
Any kind of organization that’s easy, quick, and inexpensive is great for me. “Pretty” is another winner.
I hope you’re having a nice December. It’s quickly rushing by for me, but I’m on track to get my Christmas cards out this week. I’ll show you my neighbor gifts soon.

I downloaded it as soon as I saw it! Two of my octogenarian neighbors were widowed in this past year, so I have taken some little treats to them both so they know that they aren't alone. One is next door to me, and I feed him a whole meal every so often. often. Neither one eats all that well when alone, so now they've started eating together, so I may be watching a budding romance. That all brings me down to using pretty containers to put some meals or treats into, and this fits the bill pretty nicely. Eve even saved the basket I cut from a brown paper lunch bag, so I think she will really love this cup! Thanks for the reminder – Your cup is very, very pretty!
Thanks, Barbara! This would definitely be a good gifting cup with something yummy inside. You're such a good neighbor!
I saw those decorative cups while I was browsing for designs to buy during the recent Silhouette sale, but couldn't figure out what I would do with them. I like your idea of putting something heavy in the bottom so it won't tip over; that was one of my concerns. And Barbara's idea of using them for a treat container is fantastic. I think I will have to add a couple of those designs to my wish list!
Kelly I am always looking for a way to keep my table cleared, but alas, I think it might be day dream that never comes true, lol, love your cup, hugs
