Adding Patterns to Silhouette Studio
Here is the addition to my Fill Windows lesson. Filling shapes with patterns is a fun option in Silhouette Studio, so why not also use the patterns you love from your digital pattern paper collection?
This process is better with the Designer Edition, but there is also a way to add patterns to your Library with the Basic Edition. I’ve included a short video for each method below so you can watch the one that applies to your version. (If you’re considering upgrading to the Designer Edition, this may be a good reason to do so.)
Please note that I do not advise adding your entire digital paper collection to Silhouette Studio’s Library or Pattern Library. They are typically large files that can potentially slow down loading times for Studio if you add a lot. I suggest only loading your favorites that you will likely use multiple times, or just add them temporarily and then delete the papers you won’t use again.

I appreciate you creating these videos. Thanks!
You’re welcome, Dawn. I hope they are helpful. 🙂
Thanks, once again for taking the time to make these videos!
You’re welcome, Sharon. Thanks for saying so. 🙂
I still am not able to drag and drop into the new folder I made under patterns.
I’m not quite sure what the problem might be, Leah. Are you using basic Studio or the Designer Edition? Which version are you using? (Go to Help>About Silhouette Studio)
