Star Headbands
I’ve been meaning to share a fun little craft we did for our New Year’s Eve party with the kids. My girls made glittery star headbands with their grandma and cousins.
We used just a few simple things for this project:
- Lia Griffith paper star headband template
- DCWV Glitzy Glitter Cardstock Stack (I usually find it at JoAnn’s)
- Thin wire
- Plain headband
- Hot glue
I cut out all the stars with my Silhouette CAMEO® from the glitter paper. I love this paper with my CAMEO! The settings I use are blade 5, speed 3, thickness 30.
The SVG file includes perforations on most of the larger stars, so it’s easy to use those fold lines to shape the stars into their fun angular dimensions.
Once I cut and folded all the different sets of stars for plenty of headbands, I sent them off with my girls to their grandma’s so they could complete the headbands. They did most of the hot gluing themselves, and helped make their cousins’ headbands for them.

Sooo cute! I bet the girls had fun putting these together! Thank you for sharing!
They did! Thanks, Marilyn! 🙂
