Silhouette Go Mobile App Tutorial

Silhouette Go Mobile App

Have you heard about the new Silhouette Go mobile app? I’m excited we can finally share that a new app has been released, and I’ve got a video tutorial for you below. This video shows the beta version from August 2020. Check out the features in the full-release version HERE.

Beta

Note: This video shows a beta version, and Silhouette doesn’t normally put out videos on a beta version. However, because it’s so new they let me put out a beginning tutorial. (You don’t have to figure it all out on your own!) Go ahead and start trying it out on your Bluetooth-connected Silhouette machine. We know there are bugs, and there are intended features still to be added.

Why use the app?

I love that I can take just my machine, my smartphone, and the media I want to cut on the go! Sometimes that’s just down to my dining room, but it also means it can come with me on my travels away from home. All I need is electricity to plug in the machine. It is an awesome way to use the compact new Portrait 3 machine. It also works with the Cameo 3, Cameo 4, and Portrait 2.

The app has some features of the full desktop version of Silhouette Studio, but it’s intended to be quick and simple to cut. It’s not trying to pack the wide range of design features from Silhouette Studio into a tiny app. You can still do that on Silhouette Studio, save it to your Studio Library and sync it to the cloud, then those user designs will show up on your app.

Try it!

Remember this is a beta version, so there will be changes. I’ve filmed this demo video of the app in its full-release version as of February 2021.

Let me know what you think!
