Free Class: Reverse Canvas Halloween Decor
Are you ready for another free Silhouette class? I’ll be at Silhouette Headquarters once again for a live Zoom class with Michael’s on October 16th at 12 p.m. MST. This time we’ll be working with heat transfer, paint, and a stretched canvas to create this reverse canvas project.

It’s a fairly easy project but because of timing (paint drying, etc.) you will have more success by watching first instead of trying to complete it in the time frame of the live class.
The supply list is included in the link above, but I’ll list it here to archive it (includes some affiliate links):
- Silhouette Cameo® or Silhouette Portrait®
- Silhouette cutting mat
- Heat Transfer Vinyl – Smooth (Black)
- Siser EasyPatterns (Spiderweb)
- Wrapped canvas (11” x 14”)
- Acrylic craft paint – black, yellow, orange, red (optional: pink, purple)
- Black cardstock (minimum 3” x 3”)
- Household iron or Heat Press
- Parchment paper
- Craft knife or other cutting tool
- Acrylic ruler
- Self-healing mat
- Paper trimmer
- Hook tool
- Scraper or vinyl squeegee tool
- Spatula tool
- Hot glue gun
- Foam brushes or paint brushes
- Thumb tacks

We’ll be making the taller Halloween reverse canvas in the class, but these same techniques on smaller canvases give you some fun additions to your decor. Here’s what I made as I prepped for this class.

Thank you, Kelly, for a really great class through Michael’s. I used a different design than the one you presented, but I got a great reverse canvas project! Your instructions were clear, concise, and able to be accomplished. I appreciate your talents and your willingness to share them. I hope to do more classes with you.
