Day of the Dead Floral Skull Project

I love making creative things for a part-time job! I will admit that some projects and classes are more appealing than others, but when a sugar skull with flowers was suggested, I dropped everything non-essential and whipped up this project! We like Day of the Dead in our household because of the family connection and because it hits one of our kids’ birthdays.

While I’m not providing a full tutorial on this Day of the Dead floral skull project, I will provide the basics so you can make something similar.

The sugar skull is cut in various colors of cardstock and glued together. Easy peasy! I glued the skull down first and then attached the flowers with hot glue or foam adhesive. I chose easy flowers that may not look super realistic, but they are fast and add a lot of zing to this project. Rolled flowers are the fastest.

Happy Dia de los Muertos! You can watch the movie Coco by Disney + Pixar while you assemble this! Please ask in the comments if you have specific questions about this project.
