Fall Trio Mini Blog Hop

I feel very fortunate to consider myself friends with two very talented women I met through the Silhouette Plus forum. We decided to get together and do a little collaboration. We each designed a cutting file or two, shared them with each other, and made projects from each others’ designs.  Keep reading to see what Debbie, Barb and I have come up with for you.

I designed this pumpkin and couldn’t decide which style I like best, so I’ve made a “regular” cut file to cut from paper, a print & cut file that’s ready to be printed then cut from your Silhouette machine, and a vinyl cut file that has some delicate lines well-suited for vinyl. All three are available to download in a Studio file by clicking on the image below.

For my card above I used the vinyl version and cut the background from orange vinyl, the outline and stem from brown vinyl, and the leaf from green vinyl, then just placed them in layers on my fancy square cutout I shared a while back.  You can download the fancy square here.

Debbie shared some great fall/thanksgiving files that I print & cut with my Cameo, then attached to small 2″x3″ place cards.  Aren’t they great?

You can check out Debbie’s blog, Paper Pulse, to grab those freebies and see what she did with all three of our files.  Here’s a sneak peek at what Debbie did with my pumpkin cut file:

And Barb made some wonderfully versatile leaves and leaf strips to use on flat or dimensional projects.  I made a candle wrap with Barb’s leaf files:

And here’s a sneak peak at Barb’s projects using all three of our cutting files.  (She used my pumpkin on a sketch card–so beautiful!)  Go check out Barb’s blog, Being Mrs. Miles, for her freebies and to see all of her projects.

Thank you for visiting today, and please make sure you visit the other two blogs in our trio collaboration (a.k.a. mini blog hop) to grab their freebies and see pictures of their projects using all three of our file shares:

  • Kelly, what a fab mini blog hop, 3 very talented woman make a fantastic hop, each piece is gorgeous on its' own and all put together, well I am ready for some turkey, thanks for all the work and effort all of you put into making this work, hugs

  • Hi Kelly,

TOO FUN – I was listening to a daily Bible audio and they were talking about doing Random Acts of Kindness, and well, I thought HOW TIMELY for this is exactly what we are doing today.

Only regret is you and Debbie and I are spread apart all over North America or I'd be taking us gals out for a coffee to celebrate haha!

Your files were lovely to work with! I know I'll use them over and over. I can already imagine how pretty your and Debbie's Thanksgiving tables will be looking like.

I'm hoping we might establish our BHT on a regular (perhaps monthly? we'll talk *wink* basis)

Hope you have a lovely creative week

    Blessings from
    Barb

  • Hi Kelly, I had so much fun doing this "Mini Trio Bog Hop" with both you and Barb. I love everything the two of you created. I hope we get the opportunity to do this again. xxx – Debbie

  • Thanks for sharing your cute pumpkins Kelly! I think this is the first time I've seen someone share three types of the same files, I like it!!! I hope you all do this again. I just hopped here from Barbs blog and now I'm off to Debbie's. Take care.

  • O I wanna come play at your so bad. It looks like u have so much fun. About the 4x 6 envie. I use the Cameo and the ratchet blade. I have no trouble cutting anything. It's that the paper is so thin it tears when I put the card in and try to mail it. Thank u so much for all u do.

    • Oh, I can see that happening. Hmmm… Not sure what to suggest on that one except trying a variety of papers or just making some guide marks for folding instead of perforating all the way along the edges.
