Be Happy Card
This is one of three projects I’ve made with the new “Seen and Noted” paper by Pebbles Inc. I like the bright and cheerful colors. I’m providing a free Studio cut file for all the shapes but the butterfly, which I purchased from the Silhouette online store.
The “Be happy” sentiment is sketched with my Cameo using the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder and a white Uniball Signo pen. The font is Aunt Jana Sketch, also available in the Silhouette store.
Supplies:
Pebbles Inc. “Seen & Noted” pattern papers
Turquoise cardstock (8.5×11”)
White twine
White Uniball Signo pen
Cut files: “Butterfly” (Design id #20364) in the Silhouette store by American Crafts; scallops and strips (my design)
Font: Aunt Jana Sketch font
Instructions:
1. Cut letter-size turquoise cardstock in half; fold for card base.
2. Use white Silhouette sketch pen or white Uniball Signo pen in adapter to sketch “Be happy” sentiment on remaining turquoise paper with Silhouette machine, then cut butterfly and sentiment label with Silhouette machine. (Adapt as necessary with stamps or other die-cuts or cutter.)
3. Cut scallops and straight strips (scallop 5.5”) (1”x5.5”) (1”x3”), adhere to card.
4. Add twine, butterfly, sentiment tag.

How do you get your pen to look like it is hand written? When I use the sketch pen it outlines the letter just as if it were cutting the letter out.
It's the font. It's a sketch font specifically made for sketching so the lines don't show up like an outline. I love this font for sketching! I've got the link to the Aunt Jana Sketch Font in my post above.
