Flower card
I spent most of my time available one day making one of my etched-glass frames as a bridal-shower gift for a sweet girl who used to babysit my kids. As the time drew near for me to leave, I realized I hadn’t made a card yet to accompany the gift. Fortunately, I have a lot of stuff on hand to whip up a card.
These flowers were cut with my Silhouette and assembled months ago, waiting to be used. The purple pattern paper was in my stash of scraps, and I always keep plenty of sparkly rhinestones around, don’t you? The finished size is about 4″ x 4″. This was literally a 10-minute card if you include the time it took for the glue gun to heat up. I wish I could make scrapbook pages that fast!
That is fabulous. I think I'll need to make up some flowers to have on hand for making those last minute cards. Love the colors and the rhinestones add to it.
Simply beautiful Kelly!
Which cut did you use to create these flowers, do you remember?
Hope you have a creative weekend!

PS following you now!
Barb, it's a cutting file I picked up from the Craft and Smile blog.
Tried to download the file, and it won't work.
I'm not sure what the problem might be. I was able to access both the DCWV PDF file and the Silhouette Studio file just now. The link in Fio's blog post you need to click on is the group of highlighted words that say, "download that file here" in the paragraph below the second picture.
Wow. That is gorgeous. It's so nice to know that beautiful things like that can be done quickly.
Beautiful! But, my question is… what kind of envelope do you use? Or do you use one at all? I worry about my creations being crunched in the envelope but don't really like handing someone a card all by itself.
Laura, I only make cards like this when I know I'll be hand-delivering them (or attached to a gift that's hand-delivered). This one went without an envelope. Most of the cards I make don't get to be this ornate so it's fun to make one like this when I can.
