I’m Your Biggest Fan
Do you know what one of my favorite things about the Silhouette machine is? I can take any idea out there on the web and quickly turn it into a great cut file. This little fan was so easy, thanks to Pinterest and to Paper Crafts Magazine’s free PDF templates. I needed a cute card idea, and minutes after finding this on Pinterest I had a cut file made and ready to go.
Really, the most time-consuming part of this file was getting the fold lines right for the tri-fold card. I cut everything, including the folded card base, with my Cameo.
Here’s the link to the PDF file from Paper Crafts Magazine’s July/August 2012 Templates. And here’s the shortcut I made by turning it into a Studio cutting file to share. My Cameo cut out all the pieces for 50 of these little card kits without any trouble at all. It even made successful print & cut flags on pattern paper. Have I told you lately how much I love my Cameo? 🙂
Here’s another version of this card with different papers.
And speaking of my biggest fans, I just reached 400 followers today! Thank you so much for supporting me in my crafting adventures and for coming back to visit often! I am thrilled that so many of you have found little ol’ me in this huge world of creative geniuses and that you choose to spend a little of your precious time on my blog. Thank you. ♥
Hi Kelly,
OMGosh this is the sweetest NEATEST cut yet. How cool. I love to snag shapes too and create – we would be very dangerous together.
Thanks so much for sharing!
Blessings,
Barb

Thanks, Barb! I need to update my lists one of these days…
That's a great card, Kelly, and thank you for sharing your file! I'm thinking that's a terrific one to use for the guys on my list!
Thanks, Barbara! I thought this one would work well for guys, too. 🙂
Wonderful card! For some reason I had not looked at the template page and there was a template I was thinking of designing myself. Thanks!
I'm happy to save you the work…there are a lot of cute templates through that link. I'll probably make some more into Studio files soon.
That fan is super cute! Thank you for sharing! You are the best.

I love this card it will be perfect to send to my son in college. Thank you so much for file you saved me a lot of work. Thanks for being so generous with your time and talent
I was wondering what program you use to create pdf to studio? i usually use svg files and the inkscape program but just downloading the studio files i can't get them to work with my silhouette studio program. Help please.
I think I figured it out 🙂
I open PDF's in Photoshop Elements and save them as PNG files. Then they open easily in Studio to be traced. For this file I also did a little manipulation in Elements to fill them with black first for easy tracing in Studio.
I have a future webinar planned to show how to easily do this in Photoshop Elements; I just don't have a date set yet.
The other option is to install free Bullzip PDF Printer and save the file as a PNG, again which can be easily opened in Studio to trace.
I've got a tutorial here for Opening a PDF in Studio.
I LOVE making cards with my Cameo! I'm so glad I found your blog. This card is AMAZING!!!
Just found your blog…I am following you now. Congrants on your publication. I loved this card when I saw it in the magazine, very creative and so fun. I followed your Folio box creation from the flickr gallery over at silhouette america to here.
Thank you, Wendy. I didn't actually design this card for the magazine; I used the PDF file they provided and traced it to convert it into a Studio file for cutting. They had a whole bunch of cute ones, but this one appealed to me the most. 🙂
