Scrapbooking, Silhouette-Style

I took an intermediate online class on the Silhouette from Kerri Bradford at JessicaSprague.com and enjoyed it.  I already knew most of what she taught, but it was nice to see her process when designing, and I did pick up a few fun tips and

Thinking of You Card

Thinking of You Card

I love white-on-white for cards. I used my Modify tools in Studio to create this flourish frame out of the design block flourish shape in the Silhouette store (one of my favorites). Then I cut it out of white Silhouette adhesive cardstock (love that stuff!).

I made this card for a card challenge on the Silhouette Plus forum, then turned it into a class on using sketch pens for Silhouette users in my area.  I’m going to try this class again later because of a lack of interested parties this

Scraplifting with Silhouette Studio

Scraplifting with Silhouette Studio

Ahhh…it feels good to scrapbook again.  I decided to take on the sketch challenge from the Silhouette Blog and scrapbook a funny conversation I had this week with my two-year old, who has quite an advanced vocabulary for his age.  He’s constantly asking questions, but

Here it is, the second set of cards I promised during the “Love My Cameo” blog hop. This is actually where I started, with these beautiful flower sketch designs from Barb Derksen. I made my own designs for the blog hop to match the Valentine’s

Valentines for Kids

Valentines for Kids

I know Valentine’s Day has come and gone, but I need to share what I did for my kids’ Valentines this year. I used a pen in my Cameo to write “I choo-choo-choose you.  Happy Valentine’s Day” on train shapes, then had the blade cut

I’ve been playing with my sketch pens again lately in my Cameo, and this is the Valentine card I made for my husband.  I used a black glitter Silhouette sketch pen to sketch the typewriter, a dark silver gel pen in the Chomas Creations Silhouette

Tutorial: Dingbat Fonts into Embellishments Using the Silhouette

Here’s the tutorial I promised!  (Sorry it’s taken a while, but my July this year has been as busy as any Christmas season.) For those of you with a Silhouette machine, you probably know you can use any True Type font (.ttf) on your computer

Dutch Oven Cookbook Mini Album

Dutch Oven Cookbook Mini Album

This dutch oven cookbook mini album is what I’ve been working on lately. It turned into quite the adventure as I chose to do this album almost exclusively with the Silhouette machine, and my poor old Silhouette decided it was not going to cooperate with

Happy Birthday, Nichole!

Happy Birthday, Nichole!

I used three Silhouette weekly freebie shapes in this project: the sun, the background polka dots, and the tire swing.  The sunglasses are also a Silhouette shape I’ve used several times (including kid-sized for my kids to play with).  The cute little girl stick figure

Hello Card

Hello Card

Happy National Scrapbook Day!  No, I’m not scrapbooking today; I’m making more cards.  This is my challenge entry for the Silhouette Plus forum I enjoy. The background design was the challenge.  Not my usual choice, but I like how it turned out in the end.

Mother’s Day Cards 2011

Bring on the Bling! I used the glitter sketch pens with the Silhouette for these cards and am really happy with the result. Version 1 (more pink): Version 2 (bringing out the yellow and blue from the pattern paper): Together (you can really see the
