I was so excited when I found out I could decorate a Silhouette Advent Calendar for a design team project! All of the Silhouette America design team’s advent calendars were posted on the Silhouette Blog. It was hard to narrow down what I wanted to …
O.K. I know Halloween is past for this year, but I promised to share this when I posted a sneak peak on Instagram. This is definitely not an original idea; I saw it on Pinterest in several variations (all made from toilet paper rolls), but …
I tried something new. I’ve done plenty of vinyl projects for home decor, but I was asked by a family friend to put his store logo and hours on his new location. Here it is: I did my research on which vinyl to use (Oracal …
I love making mobiles. For this one I went with a Red, White & Blue theme. As a summertime mobile, I thought pinwheels would be pretty fun. Here’s how to make a pinwheel mobile of your own. Supplies: 6 pages 12×12 Doodlebug “Stars …
I volunteered to decorate the bulletin board for my daughter’s elementary-school teacher for Teacher Appreciation Week. The school asked for a 50’s theme, so this is what I came up with after some helpful tips from my peeps on the Silhouette Plus forum. (Thanks, ladies!) …
My daughter read a poem in church on Easter Sunday that involved Easter lilies, so I made these pretty paper lilies the day before as a visual aid. You can find these Easter lilies in the Silhouette store (design ID #26771), designed by the …
I am ready for SPRING! Are you? I created this decorated 3D word for Heartland Paper’s design team, but if you can’t go see it in person, I’ve included lots of pictures. Surprise, surprise. 😉 Each letter is about 6 3/4″ tall. These Spring 3D …
I made these for my kids’ gradeschool teachers back in November. I’m never on the ball for official teacher-appreciation holidays, so we brought each teacher a gift basket during parent-teacher conferences at the end of the first term. That’s a long week for teachers, and …
One of the best things having a Silhouette machine has done for me is to expand my world. I love living in this age of technology where I can have a machine that does what it does, and then I can post the project …
When I saw this calendar design by Samantha Walker on the Silhouette Blog a while back, I had to have it and snatched it right up! Paid the whole 99 cents for it…didn’t even wait for a sale. (Big spender here, I know.) With my …
I feel very fortunate to consider myself friends with two very talented women I met through the Silhouette Plus forum. We decided to get together and do a little collaboration. We each designed a cutting file or two, shared them with each other, and made …
This is a project I’ve wanted to make for years. I saved an image of someone’s flip calendar on my computer in an “inspiration” folder ages ago and am so happy to have finally made it! I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the titles …
The Paper Cabana Challenge #3 asked us to look to Bright Wish Kanzashi Studio for inspiration on our project. Of course, seeing all those flowers made me want to create yet another flower project. I think the reds and oranges stood out to me, as …
It finally feels like fall around here, complete with cooler rainy weather and fall colors starting to pop out on the trees. I love it! This is also my favorite season to decorate in my house. I was so excited to do this project I’ve …
I sent 50 vinyl cutouts to be sold at Just Bee Scrappin’ in Brigham City, Utah, and want to make sure anyone who purchases them knows how to apply vinyl. I’ve done all the cutting and weeding for those cutouts, but you can also grab …

I made this chore chart using Silhouette’s printable magnet paper with the print and cut feature of the Silhouette Studio software. Honestly, I bought this magnet paper a long, long time ago and never even opened the package until this project. My next Silhouette Silly …
Here it is! I can’t tell you how long I spent on this project because I’ve been thinking about it for a couple of months, collecting ideas and watching/reading tutorials, and gathering flower files. The actual cutting and assembling I spread across a couple of …
First, let me give credit to my source of inspiration. I found this cute spring project on Pinterest and had to make something like it for myself. Here’s Kim’s DIY spring art project from the Celebration Shoppe. And here’s my take on it: I made …
I finally got around to putting vinyl on my wall after years of putting it on everything else. I’ve put Silhouette vinyl on doors, mailboxes, mirrors, jars, plastic containers, dishes, holiday ornaments, cards…you name it. But not on my walls, until a few days ago. …
I hope you’re not tired of this frame yet. I just wanted to show one more variation of this frame I did using fuzzy black vinyl. Fuzzy white vinyl would work great, too, but I was working with black at the time. I wish you …

Here’s what I came up with after deciding not to make multiples of this frame with vinyl. I used the same shapes in Silhouette Studio, but printed them on cute Christmas pattern paper in black ink. I like the variety of color on these. Merry …
I grabbed about 15 of these $1 frames at my local Dollar Tree store, and this is what I did with the first one. I decorated it with white vinyl on the glass, and backed the windows with red pattern papers. This was my brilliant …
I have a confession to make. We’ve had our Christmas lights up (and lit most nights) since the 15th of November, and even have our Christmas tree up and decorated in our living room. My husband has been playing Christmas music since the day after …
